Mountains - a tribute

Hello everyone,

After a short break, my newsletter will continue in July. This time, we are moving away from photography itself to a topic of a very personal nature. It is truly a blessing to have had access to the mountains from a young age, especially from people who were deeply connected to them in a special way. Even though this connection often pauses during the teenage years, it tends to return with full force later in life, but only if it was explained and shown to us in a special way as children.

For my grandfather and father, it was never about the spectacular or event-like way mountains and other natural wonders are seen today. They taught me to view the mountain world as a normal part of everyday life and to treat it with the same care as your own home. With love and time. To walk through it with a quiet voice, leaving no traces except footprints, and to always show gratitude for being healthy enough to reach a summit. The mountains are not an amusement park, and summits are not mere checkmarks on a travel map. The mountains do not negotiate, nor can they be planned for a specific day on the calendar. This is what fascinates me the most. The mountains do not ask questions and do not submit to our civilization. Mistakes are punished, and overestimation or simply bad luck can even lead to death.

With my new short film, I want to portray this power of the mountains. If possible, please watch it not on your phone, but on a larger screen with leisure and time, just like in the mountains.
